The most wonderous thing about the interweb (as I like to call it) is the people you can “meet”. It’s true I never used to put a heck of a lot of stock into “online relationships”, but I am now happy to report I’ve been converted. Basically if you are open to it, you can encounter the kind of folks that you will in fact pine to meet in “real life” and that’s saying something… Rainy is one of those people for me. Her whit and charm weave through her blog posts and I find myself snorting my coffee in the morning thanks to her amusing way of telling me stories. Having seen some of her “doodles” (more like intricate artwork, thank you very much) on her blog one day I became instantly aware of how artistic she was. Hence my perhaps OVER excitement at the announcement she was opening an Etsy shop!
Now not only can you get your hands on some of her mandala art you can procure fabulous gemstone jewelery as well. And yes, you bet your fanny I got myself some the first week it opened!! 
(I was helpless really, she had a pair of turquoise drop earrings that were calling my name. And indeed they were promptly slipped into my ears before Joe and I had even pulled away from the mailbox!! And yes, those are the beauties up above! )
Besides being hysterical and artistic she’s also incredible generous and has agreed to let me GIVE AWAY a spot in her new (and might I say ingenious!) Earrings of the Month Club! You can find all the deets for the club right here, but the short story is that you will be getting surprise treasures delivered to your door! One pair of earrings, each month, for three months! And they will be exclusives too, not available in her store at all while they are a part of the club! I’m so stoked to be able to give away a membership to this, but if you just can’t wait, I understand… head on over to her shop to get yourself something nice! I spotted this little beauty on my wintry walk today. I had to tilt my head slightly to really see if fully, but isn’t that the way with everything sometimes.
I had a bit of an “ah ha” moment the other day after doing a dream board exercise for one of my e-courses. I am still sorting through all the ramifications of it, and where I go from here now that I have this new outlook. I am very excited about it all and once I think I have it in words that make sense I’ll be back to share it for sure. In the meantime check out these rad folks who have been inspiring me lately:
ScoutieGirl: She’s uplifting and practical and sometimes I think her posts are freakishly perfect in their timing as they relate to my own life. Definitely worth a read and don’t blame me if you’re inspired afterwards. Here’s one of my fave posts.
It was a happy day the internet gods brought me to Emily’s blog. I don’t even have kids and I find her tales of being a mom fabulously sweet and heartfelt. It’s the homegrown-ness I think. She’s just a really nice, down to earth woman, who happens to be a wicked artist and crafter. This is a recent post that had me thinking back to all the times my own mom welcomed help with the baking, flour mess be damed!
A new-to-me blog Honey & Ollie is a really delightful read. This was the post that drew me in. Nothing like a fellow frantic soul searching for that elusive beast known as balance. I hope you enjoy Rainy as much as I do.

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday filled with too much food, too much laughter, and just the right amount of napping! I had a great time and was sad to see the lovely long weekend go. Of course now we are in full on HOLIDAY mode over here, working like elves to stock the shop and make pretty things for all the ones we love. I spotted some more AWESOME finds on etsy and had to share! I hope these ideas will inspire you to put forth your best Holiday Spirit (he IS watching, after all!!)

Being a part of the Etsy community now I am able to see just how much incredible talent and inventiveness there truly is on that site. It’s overwhelming really. So, I thought that while I was perusing the Etsy aisles I would share some of the good stuff I spot and feature it here in case it strikes your fancy as well. The Cool Finds Holiday Series will run right up until the week of Christmas, with selections for the Holidays, Kiddies, the Ladies, The Gents, and then just a general Rebecca’s Favorites list (because I can do that!
